Default Just called comp about using 918's with t-rex and ms3

i just called comp about using the 26918 springs with a t-rex and ms3 and the guy said that because of the 26921 springs they under-rate the 918's and the 918's are fine for up to .620 lift SAFELY. so then i asked the guy if they would be able to handle the very aggresive ramp rates of both the cams and he was unable to answer that question.

so my question more or less is what i asked him, do you guys think that the 918's can handle the aggresive ramp rates of the t-rex or ms3,

also do you think that using steel retainers would be a bad idea with the 918's and these cams

I would not run 918s with either of those cams, although I am more minded to put more spring than necessary to stop things like valve float.

Shoot you could sell the 918s if you already have them and get close to a nice set of PP Duals or PRC Duals... Also the steel retainers will add weight to the valve train on top of the springs and will likely enhance any valve float at higher RPMs...

definetly not. to much lift and to agressive . id find a set of duals for piece of mind and not take a chance with the 918's and be pushing them almost to there limits

Like stated above why take that chance. Just spend the extra money and get the duals. I bought my car with 918s with 230s cam and i immeditaley switched them to the PRC duals.

Go with Patriot Golds or Patriot Gold Xtremes.

Best springs on the market.
