Default crank bolt trouble

ive searched but really didnt get what i wanted.

so heres my problem i can get like 3 threads tighten into the crank then it stops,tried backing it out then re-tighting it same thing,i guess they guy i bought the block off of used red locitie for the bolt,ive ordered a tool from mcmaster carr which i thought it was it but it isnt here is the part number which i ordered 91709A566. I thought it was a thread cleaner but guess not it doesnt even fit into the crank. what else can i do guys,does anybody have the right tool please help.........

That is a Helical Insert tap. Much bigget than the 16x2 tap. DO NOT USE IT to chase the threads. Or you will need to install a helical insert. Should be able to get by with a standard 16x2 thread chaser or tap.

Yes, definitely chase the threads with a good tap and cutting oil.
