Default Strano/Koni

I would like to thank Sam for all of the time and input he had on my suspension setup, the Koni shocks 4/3 (lower perch- hose mod) transformed my car into a responsive , handling ****. Sam I will call you soon to give you a better description on the changes. When I get a chance Ill post some pics of the drop diff. with the heater hose mod/ lower perch.

Thanks Strano Performance Parts!

Hey Mike, get you got the shocks on. For the record, Mike replaced Bilstein HD's with those Koni's...... Maybe you could tell the folks how much different they feel? If you have time, if not that's cool. One thing that always rips me up is when someone says "do this it's great", like it's the best thing ever coming off of maybe stock stuff or otherwise inferior stuff. I only ask Mike this question (and any of you who have also backed to back items like this), because he's now experienced both HD's and Koni's on his own car with no other changes.

I would to like to know. I have bilstiens and eibach sportlines on my 3rd gen. Wow, that turned out to be a bad combo. I think I will be dealing with Sam now on for my suspension needs.

Hey Sam thanks again, the Bilsteins were a big improvement over the stock shocks(13,000 mile Z-28), but the car still felt a little slow in taking a set in a corner, when it did set the car would hold the turn nice. The car still had some of that stock numb feeling in it, and I felt it could be better. The Bilsteins had a nice ride to them, and were not bad at all, they are a nice improvement over the stock shocks.
I installed the Koni`s (heater hose/lower perch mod) myself, not to hard, except for the manual spring compressor sucks to use. The ride height is now perfect, and the car has a nice stance to it. I used Sam`s advice on the settings, and I think they are perfect for my car. The improvements I felt on my first drive; less nose dive on hard braking, the car was also more stable during hard braking, road feel was greatly increased (no more numb feeling), the car just reacts to steering inputs so much better, and the car transitions from turn to turn so much better. The ride felt firmer, but in a good way. The Koni`s are expensive, I never would have thought that I would pay that kind of money for shocks, but they are worth every penny! I will post pic`s of the ride height difference when I get a chance, my father is doing the cancer thing and I am at the hospital alot. I have 4 chrome ZR1`s coming with BFG-KDW that should be here in a few days, I cant wait!

i just put on the koni sa 4/4 with strano springs yesterday. the ride height is very nice. the car is a night and day difference. i totally agree with the "feeling" of the road now. my favorite improvement is the lack of nose diving when braking hard.
next up are some strano sway bars.

Giddswat is running stock springs w/Koni's on the lower perch and with the isolator pulled. He is NOT running my springs, we decided that wasn't what he was after--at least not yet.

I *swear* I wasn't trying to make you buy springs.... If I was, I'd do it on the phone. I was just trying to be funny.
