new paint wish's for decals-how long

im no expert by any means ...so wait for someone that knows more about the subject to answer...that being said we waited 2 weeks before we washed my buddies car and put his blackbird stripes....since then he has changed the stripes 2 times and there is no marks or blemishes in the paint... my .02

My paint manufacturer say to wait at least 24 hours for applying decals. When I painted my car I waited for 2 weeks or so before I put on my anniversary stripes. It wont hurt anything to wait if you want to, but I do reccomend checking with the paint company to see what they say.

we put decals on the next day at our shop... but i mean i dont know what they will look like in 6 months if you go to take them off... if i was you id wait a week or two then clean it really welll and sleep em on to be ont he safe side... we just have to get people their cars back so we have to get them on earlly
