Default Weight Difference?

Is there any difference in weight between a 427 and 454 block??

Yes there is, but it wont be in lbs i bet. Same block and heads just different internals, might be different rods and crank between them.

In a standard deck big block they have the same block and rods. The 454 has a .240 longer stroke with pistons to account for that.

You might be talking about 1 or 2 lbs. max.
