Can not get the Stock crank bolt out!

Can not get the Stock crank bolt out! I can not stop the crank from turning. How do i stop it from truning so i can the bolt out <font color="blue"> <!--color--></font>

Re: Can not get the Stock crank bolt out! ROFL, this problem always gets people. Ok, listen carefully. Find a breaker bar, a long one. Put the socket on the end and put it on the crankbolt. Position the breaker bar so the handle is under the frame on the passenger side. Turn the motor over. When you do this, do it gently. Just tap the key, if the breaker bar shoots off, then put it back on and try again. Took me two tries to snap that puppy loose. Once it is broken loose, it comes off easily.

A4 - You have to lock the flexplate somehow. Some jam a screwdriver through the inspection hole, or Kent-Moore makes a tool that bolts where the starter goes that locks it.
