After 30 seconds on cold start car surges for.....
Ive posted about this before about a year ago so ill try again to see if anyone has a fix for this. I have a A4 with 3600 stall and 224/224 .563 114 cam/stock heads. For some reason on MY first cold startup after 30 seconds or so the car surges up and down about 100rpms. It doesnt cut off or anything, but its just a surge for like a minute untill the car reaches a certain temp it seems. Once warm its fine. Note: its only on that first fire up for some reason. Ive bumped idle timing in drive and park and of coarse the TB hole is drilled and idle is stock in the lower temps but 975 in higher temps. Do i need to raise my idle in the lower temps higher? I think its like 1100? My Ltrims are +-4 during this also....
any help or advice? its not a vaccum issue cause the car is fine every other time. I think its just a issue were when the car gets in the 0-120degree range or something, cause ones its warm shes perfect. Its not a big issue, just bugs me when i first fire her up for the day, or after its sat long enough to cool down.

Go to the following link and click on the file called 20030421. Look for a thread called "Secrets of expert idle tuning? I'm almost there except for..."
Also look over the files above 20030421 for the same title.
LS1Edit Info
Also read over the following link as well.

Harold,
I am not sure. It is worth a try.
Also read over those LS1Edit files. There is some good stuff in there!
