Default VSS O-Ring??

Had a decent sized leaking coming from the VSS on my A4, bought the o-ring for it, pulled it off.....and there was NO O-RING at all. On top of that, there wasn't anywhere to set it flush, not on the VSS itself, no indention in the case where the seal could sit....im like wtf!

how does the ring fit on/in there?

I'm retarded and had to bust out the ol repair manual....FWIW it has a recess at the end of the sensor where the o-ring slips in.

filter and gasket change tomorrow along with doing the VSS o-ring the right way!
