Default Looking for a pup in Houston

Gotta still be young. Looking for any type of retreiver, husky, malinois, or other smart, mid-size, and loyal breed. If anybody has one or knows of one please let me know.

I know a guy that breeds german short haired pointers. Really great stock and really good dogs, whether you wanna hunt or not. I can get you one for free. These are about $500-$750 dogs. Just let me know. He has a litter on the way.

What is the purpose for your dog? Hunting, companion, competitions, protection, get girls??? That will help narrow it down.

And how much are you willing to put into training and spending time with it? I love my pit, but good God does she require a lot of attention and training to NOT get bored and destroy or overexcited and kill.

I can put a lot of time into training over the next several months. Just basically want a companion.

I have thought about the ASPCA, but really want to raise one young.

SPCA and Animal Control both have puppies. SPCA doesn't kill so people bring unexpected litters there more often. Animal Control has "new inventory" every week.

German short-haired pointers are good dogs, my older brother wants one bad.
