Car dies on startup, but idles high when hot Ok, unfortunately I don't have ATAP yet, but it is on the way.
My car will not idle when I first start it in the morning and dies unless I hold my foot on the gas pedal and let it warm up for about 5 minutes. After that it doesn't die, but it idles high between 1300-1450 rpms. I had it tuned with LS1 edit and it seemed to be fine for a couple days, but then started doing the same exact thing again. I have a B1 cam, and have not drilled the hole in the throttlebody fearing that it will only raise my idle even higher. I tested for vacuum leaks and there are none that I can find. Could it be a bad IAC?

Re: Car dies on startup, but idles high when hot it still sound like a leak. get some carb cleaner and spray around intake, and all vaccum conections and see if idle speed changes while spraying on a spot.

It's driving me nuts.My intake has been off and on the car 5 times within the past year tring to figure this out.I actually took it off again last night thinking i knew what it was.After looking at the injectors while the intake was off,it looked like some of the injectors wasn't seated right into the intake.
So i pushed them all in,re torqued the intake with a inch pound wrench and its still leaking.Seems to be alittle better but its still leaking.I keep pulling these lean codes, PO171 and PO174 while idling.Was just on the wideband from the dyno saturday and I'm running pig rich at 11.4.1
So who knows...
Anyone ever hear of getting a LS6 intake brand new and it being warped? Cause I put my old warn out ls1 intake back on and its fine.

it sounds like you aswered your own question. If it runs good with the old one but bad with the ls6 one 5 TIMES, something is wrong with it buddy.
