Default ET streets balanced?

I'm going to get my ET streets mounted up this week.....do I need to get them balanced too?

Yes. Use tape on weights on the inside of the wheel and cover them with super sticky duct tape - not the cheap **** you get at Walmart.

Then mark them to see if you get spin on the wheel. Mine move, so balancing is a waisted effort. You may have to screw them to the wheels, not an option for me on my good Z06 wheels.

Discount Tire, free lifetime rebalances. Just a bit of an inconvenience if you have to do it often.

And if you run 15" wheels, you need to make sure where on the inside of the wheel the weights will clear the calipers. Mine are all the way on the inside edge.....

Ah....though I'm not running a 15" wheel, on vettes even 16" wheel require clearancing in order to clear the upper ball joint....so I'll have to keep that in mind when they balance them.

Will the regular weights that crimp over the edge of the wheel not work?

Usually, they take so much weight that it looks really ugly and they are a fly-off hazard.
