Default Monsoon Amp usable w/non Monsoon Stereo?

If I have a 94 Camaro with a 98 Camaro headunit that is not monsoon. Can I use the Monsoon amp with this headunit? Where is the amp located in the 98-02 Camaros?

If you want to run the wiring yourself, sure. But why?

I am asking because a friend of mine wants an monsoon amp I am not using but he doesn't know if it will work.

Well, since he's going to have to run his own wiring, he can put it wherever he wants. But if I remember correctly, the stock location is by the spare tire in the back.

I don't think it's worth it, personally.
