Should i step up my cam choice...
Stock cube LS1...
I have a TR224/224 with the .563 lift on a 112 LSA got it cheap so i jumped on it. Now I am wondering if I should step it up a bit with my cam selection, street car and will be a DD for next year (can't bring both of my cars to college).
Would i see much of a difference between the TR224 and the COMP224 w .581 lift. I have also been reading a lot more about the TR230/224.... I'm really just wondering if selling my TR224 and getting one of these others would even be worth it for the performance gains. I don't want to be spinning the motor above 6,400ish and I will be going 4.10's with a 9".
Stick with TR224 or move to COMP224 w/ .581 or TR230/224 w/ 111LSA?

im not sure if changing from the same duration cam and just increasing lift to .581 would be worth it for the slight gains you would see. You might kick yourself after all the work of the cam swap when you start it up.

Most of us are guilty of jumping on good deals and then wondering what our gains will be. We did that a few times with our Camaro, and finally we sat down and really thought and discussed our goals for the car and came up with a cam selection based on that.
If you already have the TR224 then you will not see really anything from the second Comp Grind that would be worth it. Might just want to think about what goals you want to reach when you decide to go through with the work and decide to go with a cam.
