Default buy a flywheel or resurface?

i'm about to buy a SPEC 3+ for my SS. it has 24,000 miles on it. my stock clutch screamed in agony last night at the track and just would not let me go. best time of 3 runs on poor track prep was a 13.18 at 105.........

that's what stock cars run at higher trap speeds...i was upset, but it was the clutches fault.

ANYWAY...wondering if i should spring for the SPEC flywheel too, or would i be ok with just re-using the stock one with a resurface job done to it?

I have a brand new GM flywheel if you want it. $80 + shipping. It came with the ls6 clutch kit I bought and I dont need it because I have an alluminum flywheel. A resurface will run you about $50 anyway.

Just my opinion but new flywheel is less headache. Get new parts and put them in. No balancing needed either on a new unit.

Speed Engineering is running a really good price on their SPEC parts...i'm thinkin' i'll just buy all the good stuff from them now.

i'm thinking that i also might spring for a good master cylinder.....any suggestions? i know the McLeod adjustable is popular, anything else? i'd hate to make my stocker adjustable like in the sticky and then just have it go bad down the road and have to buy another one....
