Cam Position Sensor Problem
I just finished my motor install last night and I fired it up. The motor fired right up and idled and ran fine for about fifteen minutes. My dipstick tube wasn't in all the way and leaked some oil out. I installed it all the way and let the car be for the night. When I fired it up this mroning it ran fine for about 10 seconds and then died. It was very hard to start back up abd when it does the factory tach stops working intermittently. My aftermarket tach and HP tuners show rpms just fine.I now hav a P0343 code Camshaft Position Sensor High Voltage. I bought a a new camshaft and crankshaft sensor and installed them. Same code. I checked the 3 grounds on the bcak driver's side head. I checked the passenger side ground to the block and the driver's side to the chassis. I also added another groun from the driver's sdie of the block to the chassis. I pulled the front cover and all of my cam bolts were exactly to torque. I also used a multi-meter and checked the voltage to the camshaft sensor plug with the key on and I had 10.5 volts when my meter was set to 20 on the DC side. I haven't found any burnt wires but that is all I can think of that is left.
