I went yesterday to DFW Stangs to spectate and look at what the Ford's are doing. They have some 5 second cars as some of the fastest out of the Ford's. I saw SUX2BU race and he ran consistant 6.8s, (sweet car too 
)but I did not see every run. I heard from several people that the track prep sucked but it usually does on Sunday. The issue is that the cars with front street tires (not skinnies) drive through the water box and drag the water with them to the line. This is initially what screws up the track. The best prep is on Wednesday, Thursday (average), Friday and Saturday because most of the time the big guys come out to play.
