Can rear o2's be used as front's?

Can rear o2's be used as front's? I found out that my driver's side sensor is bad and I have the ones off the rears just sitting in a box. Thanks in advance.!

I ask because I suspect one of mine is toasted. My car runs like crap once it warms up. And with the trial, 5sec. version of EFILive, I can see a big difference in the readings between B1 and B2. B1 looks steady for the most part, but B2 will jump around, up to 60% variance from B1. BTW, which one is which?
Anyway, those are only 5 second traces, so, I can't really be sure. What data did you use to determine the failure?

Re: Can rear o2's be used as front's? Hey Jero, sounds like you either have an exhaust leak or a bad O2. I'd swap the O2 first. VERY easy to swap. I also swapped out my fronts for my rears, and car runs just fine.

Re: Can rear o2's be used as front's? Bank 1 sensor 1 is drivers side front, bank 1 sensor 2 is drivers side rear, bank 2 sensor 1 is passenger side front, and guess what the other one is.

I'd swap the O2 first. VERY easy to swap.
I'm gonna switch it out when I reset the exhaust flange gasket (which I think is leaking).
