New Slave Cylinder...can it be bleed first?
I am wondering if I can simply connect the new slave to the line from the mastercylinder and gravity feed it into the slave cylinder????
What are other ways of adding new fluid to a new slave while it is off the vehicle and hooked up to the mastercylinder?
Thanks

but i wouldn't use the pedal to do it while the slave is just hanging. you could overextend the piston and ruin a seal.
other option would be to mity-vac from the bleed valve on the slave and just draw good fluid through.

I actually have a might vac, and was thinking I could just take the one end that hooks up to the reservoir and stick it in the fluid and then draw through the bleeder valve until the new fluid came throuh...that should totally eliminate any air.
Then I could gravity feed the reservoir and let the new fluid push out the old fluid prior to hookin it up to the slave....does this sound feasible or am I missing something???

I'm not sure but the connection looks like there is a shutoff in it that is moved out of the way when the male and female sides are connected. I was considering this as well and was going to use the old master line to bench bleed the slave, but then I thought of the dirty crap in the old system messing up my brand new parts and decided to just use the remote bleeder and bleed it on the car.

Why would you want to?
You take a chance of pushing th slave apart. Then its junk, I dont suggest it.
A new slave should have fluid in it anyway. I know the GM ones come full all ready.
Bleed it proper in place & together that will avoid potenial problems.
If your wanting to flush it, get a mity-vac & bleed it with those.
