Default Easiest switching 12vdc line to splice into?

I'm looking for the easiest switching 12v line to cut into for my amp in my 98 Firebird...Is there one on the stock amp wiring? Or would it be easier to get the one on the headunit?

What are you using it for? You need main amp power and a remote turn-on for your amp.

In either case, I wouldn't recommend that ignition-switched lead. You don't want to use it for the main amp power because that circuit is already near its limit with the things it's connected to. Besides, the wire and fuse aren't nearly big enough to support any decent amp. You also don't want to use it for the remote turn-on because it's live whenever the ignition is on or the RAP is active regardless of whether the head unit is on. Since you have a Firebird, the pink power antenna wire makes a better choice for remote turn-on - it's live only when the head unit is on.

Yeah its the remote-turn on for the amp...I guess I should have explained my situation a little better. I'm doing a headunit-less setup with a laptop acting as the headunit and a touchscreen in-dash...so there isn't any draw on that wire. I've already got the amp wired to the battery with 4gauge and fuse. I don't think the antenna wire would work becuase I don't have my headunit it, so it wouldn't react....

I'm pretty sure I want the amp on whenever the ignition is switched on... How else would I have it?

Yes, in that case the original head unit switched power (yellow) will do the job.
