What steps to part out a car for ls1 drivetrain
I picked up a low mile 2000 Z28 slightly crashed for a parts car to do my LS1 conversion into a 1970 El Camino.
What is the best way to remove the engine and trans?
I am not familiar with the newer F-bodies but there is no way I can see pulling it from the top. I looked underneath and looks the the front subframe could be unbolted and dropped and pulled out. The front end is damaged, so maybe I can 'clear' a path also.
Any tips? I plan on trying to save as much off the car as possible just in case.
Thanks - John

Drop the K-Member and the engine and trans will come out very easy. But It can be take out from the top if you really want to do it that way.
Try and get all of the wire harness, relay, etc, as you can use most of the parts.
BRP also has a kit to use the 4th gen disk brakes on your Chevelle/Elky...
