Question strut brace

what is a good strut tower brace to get and is it really worth the money?

I hear it's more of an "appearance" mod. I think I would get one if I got a good deal on it. Until then, that 80 or so dollars are going somewhere else.

I bought mine mainly for looks. It was a nice touch to the engine compartment. I have no idea if it helped at all performance-wise (installed multiple parts), but seeing how big the shock towers are and how they use an upper control arm instead of mounting a strut mount directly to the tower (third gen), I don't think they do much.

OTOH, I've heard of guys taking off just that piece and saying they noticed a difference...who knows

I just installed one recently and I can feel the difference when cornering. I would say it is worth it. I bought a bmr chrome moly unit from thunder racing.

I think it prolly helps on corner carving by stiffening up the front end but it doesn't do jack on the 1/4
