Battery terminal bolt too short??

Battery terminal bolt too short?? Sorry I seem to be flooding this section with posts, I can't ever seem to find anything with the search (and it's down right now 
)
I bought an amp power kit with my setup and already ran it thru the firewall grommet and everything, I've got the fuse mounted in there but come to see my battery terminal screw is too short, it won't allow for the ring terminal to be screwed in as well. Also come to find out you cannot remove the bolt from the rubber housing. Should I take off the loop and try to hardwire it into the cord? That seems a little dangerous to me. Is there another place I can attach this ring?

I suppose I'm confused, I thought the bolt on the battery terminal now was non removable? So I would have to have a connector with a male for the amp power and female to screw the current terminal in?
