fueling/tuning help
Ok. my car ran 8.8 in the 1/8
then i added mac midlenght headers, ORY,whisper lid, superchip programmer and 160 thermostate. TR6 plugs, iv ported my throttle body and went back to the track this weekend. i ran a 8.5s 1/8 then i noticed my MAF had came unpluged so i plugged it back in hoping to run even better but with it plugged in i ran a 8.8 the same as when it was stock..WTF..i unhooked it again and she was back down to about 8.5s again..any one know whats going on?

doesn't make sense. unplugging the maf reverts to the low octane timing table. the details of why won't become evident until you hook up a scanner and do some actual logging though. until then, it's a guessing game.

your speed density variables possibly take better to your car. Not every car needs a bump in timing, and pretty sure your programmer did something to that effect, possibly causing KR, your A/F might be producing better on a VE airmap
