Default Ok ready to order rear end strange or dts dana 60?

Ok its down to the wire. Are you dana60 guys happy with it or not? Noisy or not. Strange or dts think also makes them.
I want strong and not worried about weight. Is the hd posi enough or should get tru track. Application is on 408 or 427 aps twin turbo car. Running standard not auto currently but might change to auto later.

So have you had big quality issues and how is the rear end for quiet out of 10 say with 10 being noisiest. What gears are you running. I want 3.73 for off boost and to help my clutch but think 3.54 is best for the turbos. Danas don't come in lower ratios. I have decided to go dana rather than 9 inch which loses my abs and 12 bolt which is weaker than dana. Power I will have in abundance, I want strength!

I went with a 12 long ago before the S60 option was available.
That being said, my car also being a 3 channel ABS car BTW.
If I had to do over again today I would go with the 9".
Why? because of strength & the various & abundant parts options available for them.
You can adapt something to make the ABS fuctional in them as well. Just have to fab it yourself.
Just my $.02
Anybody want a 12 bolt cheap lol

Yes it is a possibility in the near future.
I would post it for local sale in the midwest section, but right now it's not in the mix unfortantely.

I'm also thinking 9 inch, I'll pull the 12 bolt and put it in my 95 stripper LT1 Camaro. I have the housing and a 31 spline Detroit locker with 31 spline axles for it but they arent race axles. I wish I could say that HD Eaton locker was tough enough but if you break anything it kills the locker by side loading the bearing cones. After that your bearings just fall off because the bearing cone is cut soo thin for the big axles it weakens the cone that the bearing presses onto, my spool is the same, only alot cheaper to replace. Also when I broke I was at 6400 RPM with lots of stickey on the track and a new set of M/T ET Streets. Still not making the kind of torque a TT427 makes...

Good luck to ya...
