Check the ground location on the back of the driver side head. I believe this is where the ignition coils are grounded.

ok so all grounds are tight and in good condition. what i did try was replacing the pass side set of coil packs with another set i had laying around seeing as when i move around the main wire harness from the pass side i would notice a difference in tone in the engine idle and backfires and what not. so i switched the coils and problem went away. or so it did for like 20 min. after some driving the problem came back with sputtering while trying to accellerate and a wierd noise at idle which makes me think its a misfire or no fire at all in cylinder(s).
is it possible that when temperature rises in the engine compartment that something is shorting out or loosing current? i pulled the harness already to look for broken/damaged wires and they all looked good.
