LS1 buildup for FD RX7
Hey,
I will be buying an LS1/T56 pullout for my LS1 RX7 project shortly. Eventually, I would like to have a forged 347 or 383 so I can run a big shot, and maybe turbo the car down the road. What is the best way to do this?
1) Low mileage 01-02 pullout.
2) High mileage 99-00 pullout, then go with a forged rotating assembly from Texas Speed or another one of the sponsors on here right away.
What does everyone think?
Thanks.

i would buy a new one. also you should figure out what your doing before hand b/c if your building your motor and then going turbo later, depending on your set up your going to have to change it to accomidate for the turbo. i say figure out what you want first then start the build

Do the 01-02 pull out(im doing this exact swap to my 93 FD)..I plan on putting a stock motor in at first to work the bugs out of the car before I worry about the motor. I dont want to have to worry about breaking in the car and the motor at the same time..I want to make sure it all works perfectly before the new motor goes in. the 01-02 engine has a better block(some of the 02 Fbodys came with LS6 blocks) better head castings, better intake, ect. Much better starting point. If you want you can IM me..my SN is transam6383.
