Default Two different L92 heads, will it matter?

I received two different L92 heads, an 823 and a 5364 from a supplier. Should I return one and get a matching head?

I doubt there is a difference, but I myself would like the same casting numbers to be sure. Depends on you really. Some guys are real picky and want everything matching, and some wouldn't care as long as the product works correctly.
I would call the supplier and see why your recieved 2 different casting numberd heads and see if they can exchange one for you if thats what you want to do.

I believe the 823 has been reported to flow better on the exhaust side than the 5364 by about 3 to 4 CFM. I think I read something about it on this site. Richard@WCCH posted the flow deference, (up to 6cfm more flow on the 823's).

If this is the case send them the 5364 casting back...

GM High tech did an article on a set of heads going into a CETA and explained the difference in the casting. They did not go over flow numbers but showed how one set was smoother then the other. Is that the case for you when you look at the ports?

I'm at work right now, but the one did have a smoother combustion chamber and there is a noticable difference in exhaust port size (823 bigger), and a little in the intake size.
