Default Y-pipe Question

I just bought a 2002 camaro ss. I wanted it louder so i had the muffler taken out. However it still is not very loud. I think it is because of all the bends going to the center mounted slp tips. If i got a new y pipe would this make it any louder? also would it help me get some torque back that i lost?

You need to put some kind of system on there. If you want loud true duals might be for you. Check out LS1sounds.com for some great sound clips of different systems.

I wouldn't get a Y without doing headers first, I think your going to have to get a custom made Y if you do go that route I don't know of any that will connect to stock headers
