See you're not getting much here, so I'll throw out a couple points.
1. I believe the shocks are the same.
2. Spring rates are higher on the C6Z51 (more weight to contend with).
3. If you are talking about swapping, I don't think the C6 springs are the same width as the C5.
Hopefully somebody that knows more will post up for you.

no, not a switch. I decided to get the C6 with the Z51 option. (my other choice was a c5 Z)
I have have never driven a C6 with z51, only a standard suspension, and a c5 z.
In a previous post, memebers would think that the Z06 was a much better handeler than a Z51. The 2 suspensions seem similar, so I was just curious of what exactly was the difference.
Thanks so far

well, if its any influence, C&D Just did a road test that said the C6 z51 beat the Audi R8 LeMans and Porsche 911 Turbo.
I was torn between C5 z06 versus C6 z51 as well. I went with the C6. Never looked back!

Gotcha. I'm not a road race guy, but my friends that are complain that the C6Z51 spring rates are too high and prefer to put the regular springs on with the Z51 shocks. I can tell you that my Z51 has a little bumpsteer on rough roads, a little more than a non-Z51 car. I added $300 worth of Bilstein Sport shocks and it's gone.
I don't recognize the rougher ride, but some people claim there is a difference between non and Z51 you can tell.
People tend to think the C5Z setup (same shocks as C6Z51) have a better car weight to spring rate match for the track.
Not sure that helps you any more, but unless you can really push the limits, I don't think it matters.

that is good to know.
And yes, I plan on beating the piss out of this thing. To the drag strip and AutoX :D
