Welding SFC's to body seam?
I may have a set of SFC's built up very similar to the UMI 3-point SFC's by local guys who are starting up a new business...Love helping a local business out!
I know in the past I've seen SFC's also welded to the body seam that hangs down the length of the car next to an SFC.
I'd figure this would greatly add to the SFC's effectiveness and do as much as it possibly could in stifening up the car, reducing rattles and keeping it that way!
Are there any reasons NOT to also have them welded along that seam like that?
I'd have them fabbed up very similar to these UMI units, but then thought maybe I'd have the tube that runs the length of the car bend out further towards the side of the car and weld it all along that seam that hangs down on these cars...
