Pulling Away from the Competition...8.83@159MPH!!!
The ARE Z/28 has done it again! This car is making steam!
We made our first 3 passes of the year at TMP Dragstrip today with a very muggy/humid day (actually rained all moring). The track was VERY slick both ends of the track! (more on that later)
First pass went 8.98@157 mph, then a 8.88@157 and the last pass pulled the 8.83@159MPH on a 1.37 60' !!!!
Wade had quite the handfull on the topend as the car was skating quite a bit at 1000 feet on, but the 'champ' managed to drive it thru on all 3 passes!! Unbelievable that this car is spinning the tires at 1000'+ !! We are losing MPH because of this, I think he pedaled it a few times.
We have a few small bugs to work out in the car, turn up the power a little, get it to hook a little better, etc. I don't see a problem with hitting 160mph + on a regular basis! Should be an interesting year ahead!!

Damn!!!!
Way to go, guys! I can't wait to check that thing out in person at the N vs. S shootout!
Maybe instead of just bringing my block, Wade will be a nice guy and build me a duplicate of that motor for my car!

Dave/Wade/Barry,
I forgot to ask....what RPMs are you spinning that motor up to? What RPMs are you shifting at?

Congrats!!!
Man you guys have the badass motor + nitrous stuff down!
Might we expect the fastest 4th gen title to go to an LS1 at BG... Got an 8.74 in your bag of tricks?
