door sill paint being worn off by weather stripping
The weather stripping on the bottom of both my doors has worn through the paint in a thin line inside each door sill. Has anyone else experienced this? or is maybe something not adjusted right?
thanks for any help

I do have some of this wear on my car also. I do think rubber hitting the paint over time is going to rub it off no matter what you do. If it does not rub the paint then it is not sealing.
Probably not a big deal.

Mines no bigger than 1/8 - 1/4 inch line to the metal... Is that how yours is or worse?
I don't imagine it will rust anytime soon since its my DD. Like brake calipers, they sit and rust, drive them every day and there is no rust.
I imagine you can get a small sheet of the clear bra and cut it, but I don't think they sell any real small sheets.

Mines no more than an 1/8 inch.
I just found 3m clear bra sold in .5" and 2" wide strips sold by the foot.
After I touch up the paint it looks like i should be able to put a thin strip on each door sill for less than 10 bucks. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
