On the stock boot, the material is glued around the P.O.S. plastic ring... How does it attach to the farmer ring??? Do you glue it..or does the ring just sort of hold it all in with no need for glue?

Just curious. I have a brand new boot from GM laying around for when my ring that I have now breaks...otherwise Ide be all over his metal one.

I don't know but I'd sure like to see a picture of the thing. I was going to make this very same device out of aluminum for my own M6 Z28. I've broken the original one plus two replacements and I'll be damned if I'll buy another fragile factory POS. I tried just trimming the excess and using Gorilla Glue to attach the boot to the bezel.
#1 - You can see a bit of the dried glue, so it looks like crap.
#2 - For some reason, it's too tight if I attach all sides(which I can't figure out since it fit in there with the frame).

I sent a PM to Farmer2 but so far, no response.
I guess there's no pictures of it out there so people can't just look at it and make their own. Smart for him to do that.

I got the ring from Farmer2 back in may. Great piece and good customer service. I had some pics of it but am not sure if I should post them or not (gotta find them too). This ring actually holds my boot better than the factory plastif one ever did. And it doesn't really need to be re-glued. The boot has slits that the retainer clips go through and those hold the boot to the ring. Like I said the fit is better than I ever had before and I did not re-glue anything either.
