Welcome!
You probably should first start by reading up on the BOLT-ON MODIFICATION GUIDE
Also, when you look in a forum, check the sticky posts at the top for reference.
Can you post some pictures of some of your vehicles?

How much money are you willing to dump?
There are stroker, forged, bigger cube motors you can have and add a turbo or twin turbos, ProCharger, Vortech, nitrous...
W/ all the power you'll have to upgrade drivetrain ie: 10 bolt rear, tranny(built t56 or stalled built A4), suspension work to get maximum traction.

Don't really care if you do or don't have an 8 second car. You want help with your Camaro, this is the place. What direction do you wnat to go with it, and how much do you wnat to spend? Have seen a few twin-turbo setups in fourth gens, and you always have the option of building a much larger engine for it. Look into maybe selling the LS1 you have, and building up an LSX block into something around 427-454 C.I. Super charge or turbo charge that setup. If you have the cash, you can easily pass the 1000hp mark. For a reliable toy car, there are several vendors that will guide you into a 650hp-800hp buildup. It all really depends on what you want to do. 8 second cars are not exactly what you want to take on a trip to Grandma's, but there are many streetable 10 second cars out there.

We don't necessarily want to hate, we just have seen this thing where people on the internet post things that are lies. We tend to like proof. I'd like to see pics of both, an 8 second car is always nice.

Nice car for sure! I really enjoy Skylines, but in my neck of the woods you just never here about them.
What are you looking to do with the Z/28? Do you want a street monster or are you looking for a strip car that can compete with the Skyline? How much are you looking to spend?
Forged internal, a healthy heads/cam combo, and a 150 shot of juice and you'll have a full weight car that can turn low 10's all day long and still cruise around at night with the A/C blowin' and take down some ricers...oops sorry (just messin' with you of course on the ricer coment)

Your Skyline weighs 2200lbs? Is that a typo? As I'm sure you know, Skylines are about 3100-3400lbs stock depending on year and configuration. I drove plenty of them in Japan and the R33 is my favorite insofar as looks. Don't much care for the 4-door models, tho... I'll be up in Great Lakes for some training and would love to check out your shop. As for your plans, build a Warhawk-based big-cube motor and put a T88 on it. Should get you 1000rwhp no problem. Hell, my little 383 makes over 600rwhp on a little 100shot...

If you all want to see the skyline here is a link to youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yczod9_3CPE were a have a few videos up on it its is the r34gtr mspec its one my awd dyno i tune mostly evo's and wrx's at my shop here is what i was looking to do to my camaro i have been reading up on the t5 i love the way that motor flows and all so maybe a lt5 swap. most likly not because of the price of that motor but in a week i need to get the ball rolling trying to get the camaro done to take to sema in vegas this year mr skyline and a few customer cars will be there out side the las vegas convention center at the show so show up its bad if you all want to go i can get the passes for you since you have to be in the automotive industry to get in
