Something funny with the air LID
I have a question about the SLP lid.
After I installed lid, the car did not starting up right. It sounded like it was choking. Somewhat similar in behavior when you run out of gas. I turned off the car and went to tighten up some more, jiggle the hoses and electronic sensor cables and went back to turn it on and it was all good. Well yesterday I attempted to install the smooth bellow and had to return back to the stock accordion one. (bellow didn't fit right)
Anyways, I did the same dang thing! It started choking up and I had to jiggle the hoses again. What gives? I'm not even sure the whole jiggle-jiggle thing is whats fixing the problem...
They way I start screwing around with the intake is:
1. Disconnect battery.
2. Disconnect Sensors
3. Do what I need to do with the intake
4. Plug sensors back on.
5. Connect Battery.
6. Turn on vehicle.
6a. Choke-Choke
6b. Turn off car.
6c. Jiggle-jiggle
7. Turn car back and its normal.
I honestly didn't think it was going to be a big deal. The installation was straight forward.

Not sure what you're asking - every time you disconnect the battery for a while (if that's what you did) the PCM will have to relearn the idle, reset readiness tests, etc. Bellows should fit fine and if tight shouldn't make any difference. Why didn't you do the lid and bellows at the same time?
