Question Does anyone else have this problem

Okay car was running fine the other day. Stopped in at the auto parts store to get some things. When I left the store the car was down on power a bit like it had a small miss. It slowly got worse over the next day and now it has a white smoke out of the exhaust. Everything I read says it might be a head gasket but no one has said that their car was down on power. Also I know what coolant smells like out of the exhaust and my car does not smell like that, but I have never smelled dexcool either. I have not had a chance to do anything but change plugs and they looked ok. Does anyone have any suggestions on what it could be.

you can pressure up the radiator at the cap and watch for it to bleed down. Has the coolant level went up or down in the radiator or overflow? It sure sounds like a headgasket to me. Go to COFBA.ORG we are having our monthly meeting at the IPS dyno in columbus saturday. If you brought the car out there would be many people that unfortunatly have alot of experience with bad headgaskets there.

I've heard you can check your oil and you'd see coolant in there too...

wouldn't a code be thrown for something like this?
