Default Tons of chatter after Spec stage one install?

I just recently installed a stage one spec clutch kit in my 1999 Camaro SS. Now when I take off from a stop sign slowly or I'm in stop and go traffic the clutch chatters so hard that it feels like something is coming apart underneath. The flywheel was turned before the shop installed it and the car has new motor, tranny and tourque arm mounts. I'm told that these clutches have a harsh break in period which is 500 miles. I already have 600 miles on it. Is this normal?

My chatter didn't go away until around 700-800 miles. Around 1,000 miles I did a couple of 3-4k drops and cured the chatter completely.

Most clutches can expect a little bit of chatter.

My Spec was exceptionaly bad about it, but it turned out that the shop that turned the flywheel did a somewhat half assed job. I'd give it a few hundred more miles, but if it's still talkin' to you after to much after about 1,000 miles than I'd start thinking about looking a little deeper into it.

A stage one chattering, damn. Do a good bit of city driving in it if you dont already. The more you shift the better the clutch will break in.

Do you normally drive city or highway because if most of your mileage is highway than that is why it is still chattering.

My Stage 3 did the same thing. People called it normal but it always pissed me off. No way any thing should make your car shutter like that, sometimes it felt like the damn motor was ready to just bust right off the mounts. I just installed an LS7 and it dodnt chatter whatsoever.
