Camaro/Mustang curb weight

Camaro/Mustang curb weight What would weigh less? 68 Mustang or 74 Camaro? My buddy wants to put in a supercharged Big Block with just north of 1,000 hp. This will be for the street not the strip although not a daily driver.

1,000hp street not strip? idk but that doesnt make too much sense to me but w/e, to each their own. I do not know the curb weight of either, but i favor camaros over mustangs being i own a 70 camaro. I would say go by which you like by looks. You say its for street not strip so who cares about the curbweight?

Alot of the info on these sites can't be googled, well you could find it thru google if you want to argue but, my point is you are limiting yourself to just here. Don't get me wrong this is a good place to ask questions but some times it's good to step outside the box.

Same motor in a lighter car should be quicker. That being said, I told my buddy from what I found searching, It looked like the mustang might be a little lighter but not enough to make much of a difference. He wants the 1,000 hp because he hates losing to fast motorcycles which are now running high 9's stock. He plans on a 630 BBC with a supercharger.
