Help me pick an engine setup
BACKGROUND:
This is going to be a turbo car; street/ weekend use some DD, Some track time. Been researching the s400 turbo and more than likley I will be going with that. Things I already have and would like to reuse to save some $!
-228/228 588/588 114 lsa cam
-LS2 timing chain and ported LS6 oil pump
-317 heads w/ 918's
-Vic jr w/ elbow, setup for stock ported TB
-Motrons flow matched @ 64.7 lbs
So my motor is in need of rebuilding should I rebuild to a forged 347 or spend the extra 1K and get an Eagle 4.00 crank and go 382! I have also been looking at the TSP 408 iron short blocks for $3699 , but I think that might be more cubes than I REALLY need for what I am wanting. I haven't really set a HP goal or et goal just want a badass cruiser that could pull some DD time so I can enjoy it.
Give me some suggestions, thoughts, ideas.
