Interested in getting my car to sound like this...
Sup, lookin' to get a new cam sooner or later, still researching. Came across this video of a pretty sweet sounding cam. Can't recall what the specs were for it but i believe it's Borla exhaust and that's about all i know.
Anyways, i'd like your opinions on this clip and if you think it'd be a good idea for me to "mimic"... here it is:

What do y'all think? Is that untuned?

To tell yea the truth I don't like how it sounds. I prefer more of a cam that you can't really notice is there.
Half the trucks around here sound like that thing, just a giant hole in some Rednecks truck, I think its the new thing for the local hillbillies.

That video is old.. probably 3 years old.. back when a 224 cam was considered a big cam and tuning was no where near as advanced as it is now. I guess if you really want the car to idle like that you can tune it to have a choppy idle but it will probably drive like crap like that.

it may sound cool to have a super choppy idle but low RPM idle, surging and stuff would just not be all the fun to drive. it would suck to drive a car that you have to feather the throttle constantly as it surges to the edge of stalling.
Again though.. that video is years OLD.. it was when Tuning was not as advanced and a 224 cam was a "big" cam. Now days with tuning advances a 224 cam is considered a baby cam and when tuned will idle smooth and feel almost like stock.
