gear question what size gear would someone recomend for a stock auto trans in a 99 ta? keep in mind this is my everyday driver, but i do love to run at the track on weekends. she is pulling down 8.80s in the 1/8, but i want to get her down to the low 8's- high 7's. any suggenstions?

3.73 is the standard with an auto. For your goals I would suggest a 3200,3800 Vig or yank converter. Watch your 8.8's drop to 8.2s,8.1s with drag radials . Do you have 2.73 or 3.23 gears in the car? If 3.23's then the stall would be 10 times better for you than gears at this point
