Throwout bearing
so i bought a '98 Z28, and i believe the throwout bearing is DONE. it chatters like an SOB and in a couple weeks im planning on replacing it myself. im 17 and have never pulled a tranny or replaced a clutch before, but i think i may be able to handle it, am i wrong??? Also, should i plan on replacing the pressure plate, disc and slave cylinder while im already in there?? the car has 89000 on it and from what i hear, and feel, it shouldnt need replacement. thanks for your help!

You can handle it with the right tools and mechanical know how. First off If you are pulling the trans It would be a good idea to replace the entire clutch setup. Also you REALLY need to replace your slave cylinder and most likely get an adjustable master cylinder. Along with this you should do the "drill mod" to help inprove fluid movement.
Also If you plan on doing much modding your stock clutch will go out. I have used two stock clutches and I am around 70k miles. Do your research though before you purchase a clutch if you choose to go that route. It can end up costing alot of money

Its not that hard, be sure to have 2 people cause the trans isnt light. Might as well but a new clutch assembly with a new slave cylinder which comes with the throwout bearing.
