Default AC problem

Well a couple of times this summer I've had to put freon in my ac system to get it cooling. I figured it had a slow leak somewhere. Well today I drive the car and its not cooling again. So I get out the can to charge it some, it also has the gauge on it, and the pressure is fine at like 35lbs where its supposed to be. The compressor is running like normal also. I'm a little stumped on this one. Everytime I've seen an AC system not working it was either because of no freon or the compressor just stopped running because it went bad. Any ideas on this one? Thanks.

~250 psi at idle more when you rev it up.

Pressures depend on ambient air temp/humidity. Here's what the AC performance chart in my helms says for 86-95* above 30% humidity:

42-46 psi low/215-261 high
