Default cam recomendations

I'm thinking about getting a cam. I do not know anything about them and was wondering if you guys could give me advice on what kind of cam i should go with. I have a 98 TA with exhaust that has 111000 miles. I will probably be driving it less because i have a new DD. Im on a budget so I only got a thousand to spend. thanks for all the help and advice.
(tried search and didnt work)

Get a stall first, 3500+, then get a cam that fits it. WHAT are your expectations for you car, this is very important.

, i would say a 3000 stall but that is just a preference, i would do gears (3:73's) and a 3k stall, then base your cam on that, prolly a reliable 224 or 228 grind
