Default Tranny Movement?

I notice when my M6 is in gear and I step on the gas, the shifter will jolt forward. So for ex, if in 2nd gear, and I step on gas, the shifter will move forward towards neutral until I let off the gas, at which point it will relax back towards 2nd. Of course, the tranny never shifts, the stick just jolts. It's almost as though the tranny is moving around while in gear. Any ideas what could be causing this?

The transmission is always going to move a little but if your shifter moves a lot it might be time to change out that transmission mount they get flimsy over time
