Default Need help on reviving engine...maybe

Ok, so I flooded my engine (hydrolcked) a week ago. And from what I gather from the search I need to take the fuel pump fuse out and take the spark plugs out and bump the engine over a few times get new air filter, new spark plugs, change oil. Then put everything back together and try to start her up. No tapping and I should be fine right?

Should I take the heads off?

Man, I got a $5000 check burning a hole in my pocket and I would like to put it down on a new BMW but, I need to get my T/A running first.

That should be efficient. If you bent a rod you'll know it when you start it up. Texas Speed sells a 383LS1/LS6 shortblock balanced and forged for 3600 though

You're on the right track - take the plugs out and turn it over by hand, if it will rotate 360, then pull the pcm/ign fuse and spin it over, then go from there.
