i asked the same thing...no one said anything. I didnt realize they made another crossflow muffler. the 80 series was a POS. super 44 cant be any worse. probably sounds betteR?

Not on an LS1, but I'm running them on my daily driver '85 short bed......they sound awesome. Sound clip in sig. The mufflers themselves are pretty big, it would be tough to fit them on a dual setup under an fbody.

why? because the 80 series is thought to flow poorly?

the super 44's flow very well, and on top of that, you only need to support 4 cylinders per muffler in a TD setup. you'll lose next to no horsepower with a TD system made from super 44's. it'll just be very difficult to fit.

flowmaster makes one catback out there that shows iffy results (some people gain 15 rwhp with the cutout open, others gain 2 rwhp with it open), and everyone thinks flowmaster makes bad flowing products please, don't spread incorrect rumors like that.

After looking at the description I don't think the Super 44 is a crossflow design. Correct me if I'm wrong.
