Default headlight question

I see pictures of guys running their fog lights without having thier headlights flipped up.
My fog lights won't illuminate unless I have my lights flipped up....I know this sounds stupid, but how can you run your fog lights without having your lights flipped up?

You should be able to use your foglights by just turning on your parking lamps, thus keeping the headlamps closed. That's how my Formula works. (see sig picture).

The headlight switch has three posisitons:
Off
Parking Lights
On

To have the fog lights on without the headlights, turn the switch from the "Off" position to the "Parking Lights" position and flip the fog light switch to the "On" position. If you pass the "Parking Light" position to the "On" position and return to the "Parking Light" position, the headlights will stay up but be off.

If your headlights don't operate in this manner, a headlight gear may be stripped.

Bingo.

I just ordered the brass gears from BFranker. You should do the same.
