Default Rear coil spring install on a 98' SS convertible.

I only need to replace therear springs. Can I just put the car on jack stands, support the rear with floor jack then remove the bottm shock bolt? Will this allow me to lower the rear and remove the spring or do I have to unbolt the shock from the top?

Nope, you don't have to undo the top of the shock to replace the springs...just the bottom. You have exactly the right idea...that's what I did!!
