can I weld flowtech cutouts into hooker Y pipe? I need to quiet down my exhaust note. I love the sound of open headers, but I can't drive it in town. Right now I've got hooker longtubes and off road y.I'm thinking of getting a hooker catback and two 3" flowtech cutouts. My question is can I weld the cutouts into each side of the Y pipe? I know the cutouts are steel, but is my hooker Y pipe aluminum? Can I arc weld steel to aluminum, or is my Y pipe steel also? Anybody got this setup? TIA
